Certified Performance Practitioner

Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Lauren Batschowanow is an award winning filmmaker with a Bachelor of Performance, a Certificate IV in Musical Theatre and over 10 years of film production experience, both independent and commercial.

Lauren founded Russian Doll Productions in 2010 to pay homage to her late babushka, as she felt inspired to carry on her memory.

Lauren was executive producer at a boutique film production company before working on commercial projects for Pacific Magazines (Seven West Media) as their Digital Video Production Manager.

Since 2010, Lauren has worked on her own written works as writer/director/producer. Her first feature film, "Dangerous Desires" made official selection at Blackbird Film Festival in Cortland, NY, USA, won Best International Feature Film at the Illinois International Film Festival, IL, USA and was nominated for 3 awards at the Female Eye Film Festival in Toronto, Canada, where she sat on the directors round table.

With a taste for all things cabaret, drag and burlesque, Lauren has performed in and produced dozens of live shows. 

In addition to the entertainment industry, Lauren has 10 years of experience working in sales, having worked in multiple industries including credit, legal and telecommunications.

Lauren is very comfortable working with people from all kinds of walks of life and relishes in developing their skills to a high level. Nothing brings her more satisfaction than contributing to society through art and mentorship.
